For some reason, there are two buildings that really seem odd in Quito: This bright yellow and blue hostel as well as a turquoise coloured castle for an american telecommunications provider. I just don't get it yet!
Here is another hillside view from the hills of old Quito. It's amazing how the valleys and mountains seem to be covered by houses here. It's just not a view that I am used to!

Quito is Punchbuggy overkill - it's not even fun anymore!! For those of you that don't know this North American game, when you see a Volkswagen, you punch the person next to you and say " punchbuggy, no punchbacks!". Hours of fun, because they are hard to find in most place, but it's just too much in Latin America.
Here I am hanging out at Internet cafes... it's great when it costs less than US$1 per hour.
There are interesting sculptures, such as this one of a bull, in the city of Quito. I quite like this one - It's presence is very powerful (it is 20 feet high).
